Meet Troy



As a strategic thinker who strives for excellence, Troy believes that if you match your passion, purpose, and potential, you can change the world. His mission is to build a world where people have a real opportunity to achieve their full potential. To achieve this goal, Troy continues to challenge people and institutions to make their mark on the world.

With more than a decade in public service, Troy has used his knowledge of policy, politics, and process to advise senior leaders in government, non profits, technology and on campaigns. Currently, he serves as Chief of Staff to a senior member of Congress after previously serving as an outreach adviser to the House Majority Leader.  Troy was the top staff member for the Hillary Clinton campaign in the presidential battleground state of North Carolina. He was also an Obama Administration appointee  serving as Senior Advisor to the Assistant U. S. Treasury Secretary. The New York native graduated with honors from Duke University.

Through speeches, trainings, writings, and grassroots organizing,  Troy continues inspire people to challenge themselves to follow their passions, unlock their potential, implement their purpose, in order to leave this world better than they found it.

Troy knows that good strategy starts by not just thinking outside of the box, but with correctly diagnosing what’s inside. Therefore, you must correctly define the problem before coming up with an effective solution.

Troy applies his knowledge of policy, politics, and process to get this done. He has been “in the room” learning from our nation’s most senior government, nonprofit, and business leaders while also being “at the table” advising these leaders as well.

Troy has lead organizations large and small, from managing a congressional office as Chief of Staff to overseeing more than 300 employees as North Carolina State Director for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. He has advised the U.S. House Majority Leader, Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, and an Assistant U.S. Treasury Secretary. Troy has also presented strategies to increase diversity directly to leading tech CEOs.

With the ability to envision practical solutions, develop a plan for execution, and lead organizational change, Troy can help individuals and organizations make their mark on the world.

Troy has helped senior members of Congress, Obama Administration officials, candidates, and non profit organizational managers execute strategic plans to help them achieve their goals.

Troy has not only advised executives but also coaches, empowers, and inspires emerging political and business leaders to advance their careers and make an impact. Troy works to unlock the potential of individuals and helps them identify their passion, purpose, and potential so they can make their mark on the world.

Troy’s compassionate, but direct, approach has helped individuals and groups, from interns to executives, think about themselves and their environments in a new way to promote personal and professional growth.

Troy believes a true entrepreneur is always challenging the status quo driving innovation in existing organizations, and building new ones.

Troy is a social entrepreneur working to provide innovative solutions to persistent political and policy challenges. In his more than a decade of government and non profit service, Troy has implemented new procedures to streamline procedures, reduce bureaucracy, and use technology to make organizations more efficient and effective.

Troy is also been a business entrepreneur working primarily in real estate to implement investment strategies that will build wealth and uplift communities. At the age of 24, Troy purchased his first home in Washington, D.C. with his own money. He has continued to invest in real estate to provide quality affordable rental options for people trying to afford the high cost of living in Washington, D.C. As part of his entrepreneurship, he prioritizes using minority and woman owned small business to help these companies grow and reinvest in the communities they serve.
